Workshops filling up, hair and make-up and the $5 fee

Hi Everyone!
It's exciting to see so much activity with registration and we have only been live a week! Just want to let people know which workshops are filling up quick in case they are ones you really want.

Carolena Sat 12-2 and Sun 11-1, Frederique Friday 2-4 and Unmata Sat 10-12.

Also, a plug for our two non-dance workshops. We have Keli-Tribal Hair on Sat 2-4. Keli has done some amazing dreads and dread falls for many Troupe Hipnotica members as well as larger Seattle community. This is a great opportunity to find out how to make professional dreads and falls!

We also have Illusions by Melanie doing some great theatrical make-up. We searched the web for the best make-up artists in the Seattle area (and there are LOTS) and we found that Melanie had tons of experience and the most AMAZING work. We are excited to take this workshop ourselves! Note that her workshop is BEFORE the Serpent's Muse show on Friday...so if you want some great make up for the show....

And finally the ugly talk of money, we have noticed that people have been missing the $5 registration fee. We don't like having to charge this $5 but it is the only way we can offer online registration w/o check only options. We wanted to keep the costs of workshops as low as possible and the price of the show reasonable so the $5 makes up difference in our costs to put on this event (and pay all those pesky paypal charges). Thanks for understanding!

Please share your thoughts! This blog is for everyone!

Get ready for a GREAT festival!

We are so EXCITED for this years festival. We took all the comments from last year to heart and tried our best to make this an accessible and affordable festival without skimping on workshops or shows.
We are proud to be partnering with the Seattle Center to provide our fantastic Friday night show "Serpent's Muse" which will be free to anyone and everyone! This will be a great opportunity to share our dance with each other and the general public.
And be sure not to miss the Saturday night instructor showcase at Museum of History and Industry which will be sure to be one amazing show.

We will be posting any and all new info here as the festival gets closer. Please let us know if there are questions or comments and we will try to answer them asap.

On-line Registration Begins!

Purchase C&T workshops, showcase tickets and merchandise at the Troupe Hipnotica store: Register for Cues & Tattoos!

We're very excited to offer our new online registration system, which we hope will make the selection and checkout process much easier. Just create an account and you're ready to go! The workshops are getting gobbled right up, so be sure to reserve your spot!

A few great features of the store we'd like to point out:

* Search features: Use the Categories (left column) to select from a specific workshop day/date. Use the Search field (right column) to enter keywords to find your favorite instructor, date or subject

* Tell A Friend (right column): find a class that you want to take with a buddy? Select the class, enter a friend's email in the field and click on the little envelope to complete a quick comment form. Your friend will receive an email with all the class information (you don't have to enter that) -cool, eh?

* Notifications: Use this feature to have an email sent to you should any changes be made to the class you choose.

Be sure to download the Printable Class schedule & descriptions to get a snapshot of all the offerings and class descriptions. This document will be updated as classes sell out, or any changes or additions are made. For more information such as Instructor Bios, performance schedule, directions and lodging, check out the Cues & Tattoos web site.
